How did I know my Stupid question would elicit this response! But, as I said, I can't find where to actually place these changes! I see no File, or anything that says that, nothing! To put it a different way, I am looking for an explanation as if you were talking to a 4 yr old.

Leatherneck, simply replace the map.cpp in ghost/ghost with the new map.cpp you downloaded. Then recompile.

and why phyton and not perl ?

i'll maybe start working on this project in 1,5 months again.
about python vs perl:
my programming timeline: c -> javascript -> php -> perl -> python -> c++. all of them are great languages. but i think python is the most noob-friendly language plus it's more modern than perl. that are the main reasons for choosing python over other languages.

i've done something like this very simple:
config value: serveraccount = <bnet_server_account>
every game <bnet_server_account> will host will get "/game"ed (and it will play a sound).

idk whether you AND <bnet_server_account> have to be friends or it lasts that <bnet_server_account> is only in your friendlist.

btw i dont think any1 is willing to add database support for gproxy since this is not that easy (needs quite a while to do this).

this was discussed before. the problem is that after unpacking the replay and repacking it afterwards the size were not the same and wc3 couldnt do anything with it. varlock said that it has something to do with the header but i dont know whether they got it work.

Please correct me if i'm wrong.

1 . So from what I undestand if 2 players played a game, saved then switched the save files ( so player 1 has player 2's replay and viceversa ) they could load the game and efectively switch places?

2. If player 2 drops , player 1 can modify his replay to "look like" player 2's replay and give it to some one else ( player 3 ) and player 3 could play in player 2's slot?

u're right, but as long as we don't get the replay creation handled there is no way to get this work except a player from the same team uploads his savegame.

If you need to fix the ghost cpu problems just recode the sockets and the mysql class.
